Fosso del Presale

Easy and short calcareous gorge. Can be quiet difficult only in case of big streams, but anyway there are sever always-out. Excellent for a few hours of fun.

Access
lower: from the village of Città di Castello, reach Piobbico (PU) via the pass of Bocca Serriola if coming from the Tyrrhenian side, or via Fossombrone if coming from the Adriatic. From Piobbico take the road heading for Rocca Leonella, pass over a little cemetery and after about 1 km leave the car near a bridge on the Fosso.
upper: go back to the cemetery and park the second car.

Approach: from the cemetery, follow the path 13 which reaches the gorge near a partially tumbled dyke, overhanged by an iron footbridge. Just before this gangway there's a fixed rope going down into the river.

Coming back: once near the bridge along the road, take a little path rising up on the right.
