Quite difficult descent marked by two wonderful narrow passages and beautiful waterfalls as well. In the middle, a fatiguing chaos. |

Coming back: after the last fall inside the narrow part of Chapelle go on the river bed for about 400 m more and, near the river first big bend on the left, rise up on the left bank to find a litlle path initially flanking the river. After a few meters the path rises quickly and in about 20' reaches a quite flat ridge. Pass over this ridge and go down on a meandering path crossing several times a little river and then rising up again towards Cilaos. The whole path is marked by a red circle on white background; hard to get lost. |
